How to check the quality of double-sided tape?
1. Check whether the edge of the double-sided tape is stuck and whether the bottom paper is missing silicon:
The edge of the double sided tape is stuck or the backing paper is partially coated with silicone oil, which will cause the surface paper to crack during the waste discharge and cannot be produced normally.
So, before processing, take a piece of sticker material about 1 meter long and peel it off by hand to see if there are any parts on the edge or other parts that can't be peeled smoothly and uniformly.
Generally, the marginal adhesion between the face paper and the bottom paper occurs on a slit roll of the entire roll of coated self-adhesive material, and generally only occurs at the outer layer of 7 to 10 meters.
So, if you encounter sticking on the edge of the slit roll of double-sided tape, don't immediately assert that the entire roll of paper has this problem.
In addition, it should be noted that the light peeling facial paper (such as 60g/m2 and 80g/m2 facial paper) is stronger than the heavier facial paper. The lighter the facial paper, the tighter the hand feels when peeling off.
Because of this, sometimes when the double-sided tape selected by the customer is die-cut according to the shape required by the customer, it cannot be completed at the normal processing speed.
2. Check whether the double-sided tape has burrs:
Rolled double-sided tape has smooth edges and no damage, which is the basis for ensuring the quality of the double sided tape. Therefore, before processing, you must carefully check whether there are burrs on the slitting edge of the double-sided tape roll, whether it is damaged due to improper storage and transportation, and roll down the double-sided tape roll 4-5 times, and check the division carefully. Cut the margin.
Following the method of checking the appearance of the double sided tape we mentioned above, today we will add some knowledge about this aspect.
3. Check whether there are cracks on the double-sided tape:
During slitting of the double-sided tape, if the slitting cutter is not adjusted properly or the blade is not sharp, cracks will appear on the surface or bottom paper of the double-sided tape, and the fibers drawn from the cracks will be adhesive. stick to.
The occurrence of cracks may be consecutive or random. They may appear on one side of the roll of double-sided tape, or on both sides. Therefore, you must carefully check the bottom of the double-sided tape before machining. Whether there are small cracks on the paper and facial paper.
Then, take a piece of sample paper that has passed the above inspection, peel it off the bottom paper and check again whether there are cracks on the bottom paper and the bottom paper because the cracks are sometimes very small and can only be found after separating the bottom paper and the top paper.
4. Check whether the slitting end surface of the double-sided tape of the roll is straight. Whether the rewinding tightness is consistent:
If the slitting ends of the double-sided tape on the roll are not uniform, it will not only affect the registration during processing but also cause difficulty in discharging waste due to changes in the die-cutting orientation; inconsistent elasticity during rewinding will cause paper during printing Changes in force and uneven tension will also cause printing quality problems.
