High temperature tape, also known as high temperature tape, is an adhesive tape used in high temperature working environment. Mainly used in the electronics industry, the temperature resistance is usually between 120 ℃ ~ 260 ℃, commonly used in painting, baking varnish leather processing, painting and masking and fixing in the process of electronic parts, printed circuit boards and high-temperature treatment masking.

High temperature tape includes KAPTON high temperature tape, Teflon high temperature tape, high temperature masking tape, PET green high temperature tape, high temperature double-sided tape, etc. The quality of high-temperature tapes on the market varies, and there are even some material suppliers who use fakes as real ones. Generally, high-temperature tapes that fail to pass are divided into the following three types:

The first type: shoddy. Generally, the qualified tape should be 0.051-0.052mm, the thickness of the substrate should be 0.028mm, and the thickness of the glue should be 0.022-0.025mm, but now some small factories use 0.025mm substrate to reduce the cost, but it is easy to break and the viscosity not good.

The second type: short-lived. Generally, the thickness of the paper tube is increased to make the tape look thick, but the actual number of meters of the tape is not enough.

The third type: the use of glue is not qualified. The initial viscosity is good, but the viscosity will not reach after a long time.

Faced with the above high temperature tapes, how do we distinguish them?

High temperature tape is mainly composed of two parts: base material and glue. Some manufacturers take a measure to reduce cost and price, and its real quality is greatly reduced. Taking KAPTON high temperature tape as an example, the fake one is far lower than the real polyimide tape in terms of temperature resistance and insulation performance. The actual base material used is brown PET film coated with silica gel. In some industries, the actual temperature does not need to be too high, no more than 260 ° C and the maximum temperature resistance of PET is 220 ° C, so it is not easy to find under normal circumstances. What's more, using other glues that are originally silicone water, its resistance to The temperature is far less than 150 ℃.

Mainly from the following points to identify:

1. Taste, appearance;

2. Residue after ignition and combustion;

3. The actual high temperature test, over the high temperature of 260 ℃, check whether there is residual glue, shrinkage and other phenomena.
